Thor (2011)

At first I didn’t want to see this movie because it seemed like it was going to suck, but then after a few friends told me that it was awesome they convinced me to see it. So now I write this very brief review about this great flick. Thor tells us the story of how
Odin the king of Asgard and father of Thor and Loki, takes away Thor’s powers after disobeying his father’s rule and causing the emergence of a war between Frost Giants of Jotunheim and the warriors of Asgard. Eventually Odin falls into some sort of coma after all the problems that have erupted leaving Loki to take over the throne. Once Loki discovers that he is in fact the biological son of Laufey, king of the Frost Giants, he decides to keep Thor in exile while he formulates a plan that will ultimately leave him as the king of Asgard, or so he thinks.

Okay I’m not going to lie at first I thought this flick was going to suck. But at first when I saw the Frost Giants I got pumped, when I saw Stan Lee make his cameo I got even more psyched, when S.H.I.E.L.D. appeared I was mind blown cause I wasn’t expecting them to be in the flick, when I saw Hawkeye I was mind blown yet again, but when I heard the Tony Stark reference I was just losing my mind out of the awesomeness of this movie. Not only that but the first battle where Thor and his fellow warriors
solely kick major Frost Giant ass I was laughing out of how badass the God of Thunder looked. When I also saw the performance of Anthony Hopkins as Odin, I thought that he was a bigger god than what he already is and when I saw Idris Elba portray Heimdall I got mind blown. Truly this movie is full of great moments, action scenes, references and a fun story all leading up to a perfect combination of a superhero movie. Something else I would like to point out is that the ending really felt as if it was from a Disney movie showing a bit of the influence from the new owners of MARVEL. But this didn’t ruin the feature, overall great movie it is fun and entertaining.
